An Announcement from AIM
Dear friends and partners:
We are writing to share an essential update on how AIM House is evolving and how the work of AIM and our family of businesses will begin to expand in 2026, continuing our legacy.
In 1999, we opened AIM House here in Boulder, CO. For 26 years, we’ve created a powerful community that has supported and served 1000s of incredible participants and their families. Running a 24-hour, long-term residential care is demanding work that is an honor and a privilege beyond anything we could have ever imagined. It is our nearly 3 decades of learning, growing, adapting, and persevering in even the hardest of circumstances that have led us to where we are today and the decisions we’ve made about our future.
Over the past several years, our team has spent a lot of time reflecting on how to carry the AIM mission forward and stay true to the heart of our work in a behavioral health field that has changed in many ways. The world our young adults are stepping into looks different from the one it did when AIM first began, and it is our responsibility as a business to shift to adapt to this new world.
As part of this next chapter, AIM House’s residential program at the Castle will conclude in its current form as of December 31, 2025. As this program winds down, our priority will be to serve and support the young adults in residence. No one will be asked to leave. Each person will receive thoughtful, individualized planning, with careful coordination and ongoing support so that their next step feels as safe and intentional as possible.
While AIM House will close, we want to be clear, AIM will continue to serve our local and national communities. Our relationships with people like you will not change; we are actively accepting referrals. Closing a chapter is hard, but looking forward provides a newfound sense of joy and excitement that feels true to who we are as a business and heeds the call to serve future young adults.
The future of AIM will allow us to focus squarely on:
Mentoring and fully licensed outpatient services, with fully customizable, individualized care plans
Our existing madelife program
Evolve services
Community support, events, and opportunities for connection
Boutique and individualized short-term residential; more in the New Year
Our structure is changing, but the mission remains the same: to offer caring, individualized support that helps young adults move through mental health challenges, build a life they can stand in, and move toward independence with greater confidence and connection. This shift is about making sure AIM can continue to do that work sustainably and meaningfully for many years to come.
We are proud of the lives touched, the families supported, and the partnerships we have shared through the work at AIM House since 1999. This is the beginning of a new chapter as one comes to a close, and it has truly been a privilege to care for the clients you’ve entrusted to us.
Please also look forward to more information in the coming months about new services and offerings through AIM in 2026, including the individualized, short‑term, and scaled‑back residential services at our Earl House property. We are excited to share what is emerging and to keep you closely connected to this next chapter.
We hope to continue our relationship in this new form and to remain a place you feel good about turning to for support and collaboration. If you would like to discuss what this transition means or how to refer to AIM’s mentoring and fully licensed outpatient services, madelife, Evolve, or community support and events, we would welcome that conversation.
With gratitude,
Danny and Mae
